I sympathise. The lasting reaction I took from being beaten up in Glasgow by a person who thought I was cheating on them with their partner was "While I am upset that you think I would be so unethical, that upset is not even visible beside the incandescent fury I feel at the thought that anyone might think me incompetent enough, if I were to do such a thing, to leave actual evidence that a moron such as you might find."
