I am moderately eeped out by the concept of roleplay in anything involving sex, because if the parties involved aren't present as themselves, I can't see the point. (And it hits edges of kinda wacked out metaconsent issues, as I don't seem to perceive consent-to-sexual-relationship-with-person as necessarily implying consent-to-sexual-relationship-with-person's-adopted-role.)

I can see it as a matter of creating circumstances that permit certain traits space to explore in, but that's taking 'roleplay' so broadly as to be pretty much useless, and mixing in the whole 'adopting a mantle of other person, not something one would necessarily do in reality' with reality in ways that break my fourth wall.

Perspective issues, I think.
