It was interesting to see it 'cause I was noticing stuff that I'd never have spotted when I was a kid -- like the opening motifs all being Medieval tapestry images.

I may have to make another go at the book sometime.

The ending was ... differently ambiguous than I recalled, I think. But I'm not sure, my memories are incredibly fuzzy.
