Gnrrgh.

I'm sort of ricocheting back and forth between fine and completely exhausted. I think I'm going to blame my hormones for much of this, because they're in Sanity Cocktail With Slice Of Lemon mode. ([livejournal.com profile] keshwyn, [livejournal.com profile] jikharra, [livejournal.com profile] briar_pipe: I'm sorry I was so nonsocial this evening.)

Someone posted to polylist saying "What are the rules [for these situations]". One of the situations posted was, effectively, "What about children?" I found this terribly unspecific, but replied, "What about them?" rather than "The baby is not a piñata," which was my first impulse. I suppose being in the sort of mood where I'm incapable of taking too-general-to-answer questions seriously is better than one in which I get irritated at them.

A little sausage: The Great Indecency Hoax (New York Times; it'll ask you for a login, if you don't have one bugmenot.com might), and the textbook disclaimer stickers that have been going around.

Since I know I'm going to be going back through Evolutionary Witchcraft several times and in detail, I'm mostly skimming the exercises and reading for overview at the moment. Even given that, my brain is very full. I think I'm going to go upstairs and maybe unwind with my new Erik Hornung -- The Secret Lore of Egypt: Its Impact on the West. (Ha ha ha. At least I'm not trying to unwind with Jan Assman.)

BTW, [livejournal.com profile] niankhsekhmet: I picked up the CD you recommended to me at PantheaCon this past February, the Ali Jihad Racy one. Thank you very much for the suggestion, it's lovely.

Note to me: talk about Wepwawet sometime.
