*sigh*

Well, on the upside, I successfully made the beet dish without, say, any cats breaking glassware into it, which is a nice change from last go around. Though Arthur was remarkably interested in the cooking process; one of these days I'll sit him down and explain the whole 'obligate carnivore' thing. (And I don't think I'll break my brain of the habit, every time I ponder this side, of proclaiming in big round Roland Hedley tones, "We're eating more beets!")

Spent time immediately after phone call with [livejournal.com profile] brooksmoses fallen down a thirty foot well and not all right. Eventually climbed out at least far enough to make cookies, too. (These cookies, incidentally, are [livejournal.com profile] redbird's fault, if I'm remembering right; she made a flippant comment to alt.poly about making cinnamon and chocolate chip cookies something like two months ago, and I said I thought it was a good idea and would have to do it. I finally accumulated the tuits. Now that I've made them I don't feel like eating them though, which means there'll be enough for potluck even though [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan will be up before me.)

Then I said, "Okay, gotta get some writing done, it would sorta be painful to lose my None-o go this late in the month," and write 319 words. Whoa. Okay. 61 done, 1240 words.

Let me know how the cookies came out.

:waves from CT: Happy Thanksgiving, go you on the writing (you're doing better than I am :wince:), and, um, hooray for the cookies?

*hugs* Is good to hear that you got out far enough to make the cookies; I was a bit worried. And I'm sorry that I wasn't able to help....

If you figure out how to explain the obligate carnivore thing, lemme know. Loki never met a carbohydrate he didn't like, leading Jordin to dub him a carbivore. Ouch!
